This was a big week for me, but probably the least exciting part was updating my website. Check it out if you’re interested!
What I’m reading
This week, my good friend
’s book was finally released for all to read. It’s called Theatre Kids: A True Tale of Off-Off Broadway and it’s about friendship, grief, and jazz hands — as any memoir should be. I’m 30 pages in and loving it. John has a sort of rare honesty that lets you know he means business, but he isn’t afraid to be playful — traits that can only be earned through conversations with other theatre kids from youth into adulthood. I was a theatre kid in high school and into college, but realized I wasn’t a fan of the “theatre kid lifestyle” months before college graduation, and maybe I just liked the spotlight. What John’s book is teaching me is there no escape. Once a theatre kid, always a theatre kid. What I’m making
Are you familiar with the weekly pop-culture round-up podcast Trend Lightly? You should be, because I’ve written here about the live event I did with host Molly McAleer. Well, this week I was the guest co-host in a Trend Lightly episode where we coined a new term for influencer men who rub their hands together: “tryhard palms.” More than palm talk, we discussed issues like the PsyOp that is "I Had Some Help" and why it’s more important than ever to bring receipts to Vanderpump Rules drama. Take a listen for yourself!

What I’m watching
I love a home project, and I’ve recently been bitten by the networking bug. Working from home can be a huge headache if you don’t have the proper internet equipment — and the Spectrum wifi router sucks! So I’ve taken to watching a bunch of YouTube videos to streamline and ease the internet journey in my home. I found the video below just nerdy and simple enough…
